Dark Chocolate Hummus


1 cup dates - fairly well packed (no pits)

¼ cup water

1 can (540 ml) chickpeas, rinsed, drained and skinned 

3 ½ tbsp dark cocoa powder

⅓ cup peanut butter

½-1 tsp vanilla

1 ½ tsp Vinesation Chipotle Olive Oil

3-4 tbsp Vinesation Dark Chocolate Balsamic

1 ½ tbsp Vinesation Blood Orange Olive Oil

Pinch of salt



Process dates and water in a food processor until smooth.

Add the can of chickpeas and blend well.

Add rest of ingredients and blend until very smooth. 

Let sit overnight in the fridge to meld the flavors.

Serve at room temperature with various fruit such as apples, bananas and strawberries.


*If you want more of an orange flavor, up the Blood Orange Olive Oil to 2 tbsp.
